Google’s Niantic Labs has launched a new Android app called Field Trip. The company is describing it as “your guide to the cool, hidden, and unique things in the world around you.” The real cool thing about this is that when you get to somewhere that has an interesting notation or event related to it, a notification pops up on your phone with details about it.
I really hope Google brings this to iPhone. Although perhaps features like this will only be designed for Android to help separate the points of difference between the two.
